EASTER SUNDAY

Table of Contents (click on headline to jump to story)

Our sanctuary renovations are complete!  New carpet! New seating!  But, the same welcoming church family, excellent music and engaging presentations of the truth of Scripture. We look forward to worshiping in our newly remodeled sanctuary with the Easter Sunday services and look forward to sharing our new space with visitors to our church!

We Have Copies of The Case for Easter  Available in the Welcome Center

Did Easter Really Happen?  And, What Does It Matter?  The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel probes the core issues of the resurrection. Jesus Christ, raised from the dead: superstitious myth or life-changing reality? Copies of this book are available at the Welcome Center for anyone who is seeking answers or if you know someone who would be blessed by this book.

Membership Class Starts for April  1 (No Fooling) at 7 PM

Membership Class Starts for April  1 (No Fooling) at 7 PM

After being asked about Membership Classes, Pastor Len has established the following schedule for those interested in membership. The first session will be Tuesday, April 1 from 7-9 pm here at the church (no joke!) The second session will be Sunday, April 6 from 6-8 pm. The last session will be determined by the schedule of the class members.

Our Constitution (Article IV) states that “membership shall be composed of individuals of any age who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and who give evidence by their confession and their conduct that they are living in real fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.”  However, voting privileges are only available to “members of the church over the age of fifteen . . .” (By-Laws: Article III, Section B). Please call the office to sign up for membership classes by Friday, March 28 so preparations can be made.

If you have been a member "in good standing" of another church, you may have a letter of transfer sent to our Elders from your former church, interview with the Elders who then, with their approval, may recommend you for membership. You are welcome to take the classes but it may not be necessary.

All-Church Work Day Is Coming Up on Saturday, April 5

Men of all ages, we invite us to join us for breakfast to kick off the Pinewood Derby on Saturday, April 12.  Coffee and fellowship starts at 7 am, breakfast at 7:30 am.

Monthly Prayer Gathering Rescheduled to April 13 Following Mission Sunday Lunch

We will not have a prayer gathering on April 6.  The folks from Cristo had planned to be with us but are unable to do so.  We trust that by canceling this it will encourage you to attend the Missions Sunday lunch and presentation on April 13.  A time of prayer will follow the presentation that Sunday.

Missions Sunday Is April 13: Learn about "World Relief and Development

Our theme will be “World Relief and Development.”  Do you ever wonder what to do about all of the requests for money for disasters that happen around the world?  Our speaker, Craig Pixley, from World Relief, will help us know how to sort out all of these requests.  Plan to come and learn what the Bible says.

Clothing Exchange is Coming April 25 & 26

Clean out your closets, trade in your family's wardrobe, and support church activities to benefit 180° Student Ministries, Cristo es la Roca and the Tri-county Thrift Shop...watch for more details!

Can You Help Minister in the Nursery?

Would you consider helping in this ministry even if you don’t have children in the nurseries?  A well-staffed nursery allows parents to worship free of concern for their children.  As we all take a turn, no one has to serve very often.  The schedule is made on a 4 or 5 week rotation.  The more help we have, the less often people are scheduled.  Thanks for considering this!  Questions?  Contact nursery coordinator Julie Draeger at 847-487-9464 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Get Help with Your Spring Cleaning Projects AND Help Our Youth Group!

Spring is finally upon us, at least according to the calendar, and that means spring-cleaning.  You can help support students going to Challenge 2008 in Salt Lake City this summer by using them to do some of your spring cleaning and/or odd jobs around your house.  Call Jeremy at the church if you have work to be done and we will give you the names of students interested in earning support money in this way.

Camp Agapé Staff Applications are now available
