Sanctuary Renovations Begin!

Services Will Be Held in Multi-purpose Room Starting February 17

The sanctuary renovations announced at January's congregational meeting are getting underway!  Both the early and late Sunday worship services will be held in the Multi-purpose room starting Sunday, February 17 until the renovations are completed.

Transformation City Drop-Off & Pick-up Location Changed During Renovation

Starting on February 17, children will meet in the Library/Overflow area off the sanctuary at 11:00 am for Transformation City.  The children may be picked up in the Lower Fellowship Hall following the conclusion of the 11:00 am service. This will continue for as long as the services are held in the Multi-purpose room.

Help Needed Each Week to Set Up Multi-purpose Room for Sunday Services

We need help to set up the Multi-purpose Room for Sunday services while our sanctuary is under renovation. If you, and your family, can help one or more weeks, please contact Jan in the church office.  Set-up normally takes place on Saturday mornings, but this can be adjusted to your schedule.

Lend a Hand with Renovation Projects

During the sanctuary renovations, there will be many projects that we, as a church body, can do ourselves to lower our costs and speed the project to completion.  If you are willing to help, there is work for you to tackle!  Work will be done during the days and evenings.  Please call the church office to get more specific information.

Jesse Smith Candidates for Children's Ministry on Feb 17-18

The director of the Children's Ministry Search Committee is presenting Jesse Smith as a candidate next Sunday, February 17.  Information about him is available at the Welcome Center or from any one of the search committee members (Robin Honeyman, Jeff Vale, Lynette Lathrop and Len Sabourin.) Please take this information and reading it carefully and prayerfully.

The search committee has arranged several opportunities for all of us to meet the candidate, his wife Terri and their two sons, Kevin (age 4) and Alex (age 1.) Those with children are especially encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities!

February 17, Sunday morning. The candidate will be introduced at both services, will observe the children's Sunday school classes, and will share a devotional during Transformation City.  Parents of children in Transformation City are encouraged to take a few minutes and meet Jesse when dropping off or picking up their children next Sunday.

February 17, Sunday evening. At 6:30 PM, everyone in our church family is invited to meet informally with Jesse in the lower fellowship hall.  This is a great opportunity to ask the candidate questions about his experience and vision for children's ministry.

February 18, Monday evening.  The candidate will meet the Awana and Christian Service Brigade staff and share devotions with the TNT girls and the Sparks.

February 19, Tuesday morning. The candidate will meet with the Senior Adults at their Bible study before returning home.

February 20, Wednesday evening.  At 7:00 PM, the search committee will meet with the congregation in the lower fellowship hall to discuss the candidate.  Everyone is encouraged to attend and to ask questions of the search committee.  This meeting will also include prayer for God's

February 24, Sunday evening.  There will be a special congregational meeting to vote on the candidate. Absentee ballots may be picked up after the Q&A Informal Meeting with the candidate on February 17 but they MUST be returned BEFORE the congregational meeting on February 24 or they will not be valid.  Contact Jan at the Church Office for additional information.

Your Spare Change Can Help Tri-County Pregnancy Center

Tri-County Pregnancy and Parenting Services is an evangelistic ministry dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with women who are facing unplanned, crisis pregnancy.  Once again, Tri-County is sponsoring a baby bottle program -- they provide baby bottles and church members fill those bottles with their spare change.

Two weeks ago, 62 people took baby bottles following our Sunday services.  If you weren't able to pick one up and would like one, there are still some available in the Welcome Center.  Take the bottle home and fill is with loose change (or cash or checks.) Then, on February 24 return the bottle to the Welcome Center.

In addition to filling the bottle with a donation for Tri-County, use it as a visual reminder to pray for the women who visit the center.  Each day, 4000 unborn children are aborted by women who feel they have "no choice" and no options.  Tri-County gives them hope and their babies a chance for life.  Plus, many of these women are able to hear the gospel and learn of God's plan of salvation.

It's Colder If You're Hungry: Food Pantry Donations Still Needed

"Lord, when did we see you hungry..." Matthew 25:35

We still have our box for donations located near the Coat Room.  More than 180 families are in need of assistance from the food pantry this year and their need for food is ongoing.  Your continued generosity is so needed.

Hearing Devices Available During the Sunday Services

We have four headsets available for use by those who have difficulty hearing the services.  You may obtain one for use during the Sunday Services by stopping the the sound board, which is located on the left as you enter the Sanctuary from the back.
